Join our Spanish wine adventure!

If you like food, wine and social events, we have great news for you, because now you can become a partner in our wine venture and experience the exciting and inspiring journey from grape to glass. We have worked with Spanish wines since 2016 on the European e-commerce market and are currently taking the steps to become a Swedish wine producer and importer. After the harvest in 2024, we will buy the Garnacha, Tempranillo and Cariñena grapes and will then produce wine together with selected satellite producers. Our first own wines will be launched in Sweden in autumn 2025.

We offer a limited number of private individuals to join and become barrel owners. There will be wine tasting events and a harvest party at the end of October every year. We see a barrel ownership as an alternative investment that we are convinced will be both a pleasant and profitable experience.

Generally

The offer below is aimed at a limited circle who want to learn more about wines by following the development from raw material to finished product. The terms of this offer apply until further notice. Offer and associated conditions may change.

The parties

The contracting parties are Scandeat Food & Beverage S.L. (hereinafter referred to as SCANDEAT) and a natural or legal person (hereinafter referred to as the Barrel Owner).

The barrels

The size of barrels used is normally 228 liters (other sizes may also occur). As wood is a living material and all wooden rods are not exactly the same, there may be variations in size. When bottling bottles, adjustments are made for plus or minus variation based on the standard value of 228 litres.

Setup cost and reservation of wine

The initial cost for the Barrel Owner is €150. The consideration for the loan is that Scandeat, on behalf of the Barrel Owner, reserves a numbered barrel. The contents of the barrel are reserved in their entirety. The cask owner thus does not have the opportunity to reserve parts of a cask’s contents.

Prices

Current prices for casks, reservations and optional additional services can be found on SCANDEAT’s website (www.scandeat.vin).

Notification of purchase

Notification of purchase and reservation takes place on the form for subscription of casks or on SCANDEAT’s website (www.scandeat.vin).

Allocation of barrels

Scandeat reserves the right to decide on the allocation of barrels.

Contract conclusion

Agreements are concluded by Barrel Owners who have been assigned barrels paying the amount for the purchase and reservation in full. By payment, the Barrel Owner also accepts the conditions, which are attached to the invoice. The terms and conditions are also available on SCANDEAT’s website (www.scandeat.com).

Register information

The cask owner is responsible for the correctness of the contact details given when purchasing casks. Should the contact details change, the Barrel Owner is responsible for registering these changes via email to info@scandeat.com or by direct contact with SCANDEAT’s representatives.

Contact and messages

Notifications regarding the loan and the reservation are sent to the Barrel Owner. SCANDEAT’s contact with the Barrel Owner takes place in the first place through the e-mail address that the Barrel Owner specified in their contact details. The e-mail address also controls the login to SCANDEAT’s website.

Loan

The cask owner’s loan to SCANDEAT is tied to the Cask Owner. The loan amount is shown in the invoice paid to SCANDEAT in connection with the barrel purchase. The amount is refunded when the entire cask is bottled. If the cask is bottled in several batches, the loan is repaid at the final bottling. Repayment of the loan takes place no earlier than one year after the date the barrel was filled and no later than five years after the same date. SCANDEAT has the right to prematurely end a barrel purchase and repay the loan amount if there are exceptional reasons. SCANDEAT reserves the right to acknowledge overdue invoices when repaying barrel loans.

Interest

No interest is paid on the Barrel Owner’s loan to SCANDEAT.

Storage

Barrels are stored in the wine producer’s warehouse or SCANDEAT’s warehouse in Tarragona, Spain. The price of the barrel includes storage and insurance for the first two years after barrel purchase.

Bottling

Bottling takes place during a period of 1-2 months before or after the date specified at the time of purchase.

Extra services

SCANDEAT offers Barrel Owners additional experiences, events, services and products related to their barrel ownership. These options are presented in a separate price list on the website.

Delivery

Delivery of bottled bottles takes place via an approved collection point in accordance with the laws that apply to alcohol delivery.

Additional costs

The cask costs stated by SCANDEAT do not include external taxes or fees such as alcohol tax, VAT and possible home delivery.

Unforeseen events

The wines are stored in wooden barrels. As wood is a living material, leakage or other unforeseen events can occur. SCANDEAT compensates or replaces to the extent possible for any loss in such events.

Change of conditions in already concluded agreements

SCANDEAT has the right to reach an agreement with the Barrel Owners on the amendment of these conditions to the extent that legislation, court rulings or authority decisions give rise to this or if otherwise – in SCANDEAT’s judgment – it is necessary.

Force majeure

If SCANDEAT’s obligations under this agreement are prevented as a result of Force Majeure, SCANDEAT shall, for the time that the obstacle lasts, be considered released from its obligations under the agreement. Barrel owners are then not entitled to compensation for damage that has arisen as a result.

Force Majeure means war, act of terrorism, political unrest, import or export restrictions, government decisions or regulations, strike, pandemic, lockout, blockade or other work stoppage, fire, flood, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster, accident or other circumstance comparable to specified cases outside of SCANDEAT’s control, which prevent SCANDEAT from fulfilling the commitments.
